Our mission for the food bank is to provide basic food needs to our clients with respect and compassion.  You'll find the food bank team very friendly and eager to serve you.

Our goal is to provide a 3 day emergency supply of food once a month per qualified resident, including canned goods, fresh produce (when available), refrigerated products, pasta, canned meat, boxed foods, dried foods (rice, beans).

Food Bank Hours:

  • Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (except 2nd & 3rd Friday) 10am-12noon, 1-3pm
  • Wednesday  11am-12noon, (Break for lunch at 12:00) Reopen from 1:00-6pm
We accept donations of food stuffs
during these hours as well.
Please do not donate expired items!

Food Bank Recipient Requirements:

  1. Bring a recent piece of postal mail documenting that you live on Key Peninsula, addressed to the name of the person asking for the basket

  2. Bring a picture ID to prove you are actually the same person as on the piece of postal mail.

  3. Meet our income elgibility, (for example for family of 3,  $2823.00 or less per month is required, for a single person it is $1670.00 or less per month (call for other family size limits).

  4. Food bank is only available once a month per family

Commodities Program Hours:

  • 2nd & 3rd Friday each month 10am-12noon, 1-3pm

Commodities Program Requirements:

(dried and jarred food)

  1. Commodities program is available once a month per family.

  2. Commodities are available to all Pierce County residents with self declared income levels as the only requirement.
